“Who is he that saith, and it cometh to pass, when the Lord commandeth it not?” ~ Lamentations 3:37
CHRISTOPHER Nwakile is the Watchman Catholic Charismatic Renewal Movement, Lagos , Diocesan Head Usher. Recently, he was travelling with his family to Logos International Secondary School
(LOGISS), Awo-Omamma (the highly rated mission school owned by the Watchman). He had in the car his wife and three of his five children. Unknown to them, the devil had planned to finish them off on the way.
Unfortunately for the evil one, God had not approved of his wicked action. And so, even though he tried, it became clear that “nearly could not kill a bird.” As it got darker, their vehicle rammed into a stationary truck as they approached Asaba; even though the car was seriously damaged, God saved all of them.
Saved: The Five Occupants Of The Vehicle
Today, Nwakile is a happy man, grateful to God for that spectacular deliverance He granted him and his family. He testified recently at the Watchman Fellowship Centre, Surulere, Lagos , where he also worships with his family:
“Brethren, I am indeed grateful to God Almighty for sparing my life and that of my family members, to be able to share this testimony before you today. I was traveling with members of my family to Awo-Omamma, Imo State , in our vehicle.
To avoid driving at night, we had decided to stop over at Onitsha , pass the night there, and complete the rest of the journey the following day.
“While on our way, we read some portions of the Scriptures and prayed. Also, as we passed Benin , my little daughter of about six years prayed once more for journey mercies and covered everyone of us and our journey with the blood of Jesus. After this we went into songs of praise.
It was raining heavily and I was driving at the speed of 80 -100 kilometers per hour, and singing the chorus: Emmanuel is here, Emma, Emma. Just as we approached Asaba, there was a police road block and we stopped for their routine check. After they had allowed us to go, we continued with our song.
The Vehicle After The Accident
Unknown to us, there was yet another roadblock very close to the one we had just passed. I had gained some speed when I realized, so late, that a heavy truck had just been stopped by the police at that other road block, and before I could apply the brakes, I had run into it.
The impact was such that the car was badly damaged, the wind-screen was smashed to pieces, and its particles fell all over us. We managed to find our way out of the wreckage of the vehicle.
Those who saw the vehicle and witnessed what had happened were amazed that we were not hurt.
I praise the Lord God of Watchman for saving us from what could have been a disaster for the family.
Praise the Lord!”
