Redeemed From The Spell Of The Enemy

Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom He hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy - Psalm 107:2.

He was at his business place when it suddenly happened, and he felt it. A strange object had suddenly dropped on his head, but he searched everywhere around him and found nothing.

 And from that day, he was not himself again, as the sensation he felt as result of that experience became a trouble in his life.

But when the man of God, the General Overseer of the Watchman Catholic Charismatic Renewal Movement, Pastor A.C. Ohanebo, came and ministered at the Watchman Fellowship Centre, Gbaja Parish in Surulere, Lagos, where Paul Okonkwo worships, God removed the strange object. His testimony: 

BRETHREN, I am glad to share with you the great deliverance of the Lord upon me. My deliverance from the bondage of the enemy happened on Sunday, June 1, 2008 when the Servant of God, General Superintendent of this Movement (Pastor AC Ohanebo) visited our parish.

It happened that one day, as I was in my shop, I had a strange feeling that something had dropped on my head. I looked up and down but could not see anything. I began to wonder what it could be but couldn't really make out what it was though it was obvious that something had gone wrong and since then, it has been one problem to the other with me.

I went to my pastor and narrated my experience to him, and he prayed for me. On my own, I kept praying, believing God that He would deliver me from whatever the enemy had planted in me. Behold my prayers were answered that day that the Servant of God visited.

After the ministration of that day, he prayed diversely and ordered whatever was moving about in the body of any person to come out now, whatever that  needed to be taken away to be taken away, and all those things that needed to be destroyed, to be destroyed.

 Brethren, in the course of the prayer, I felt a sensation like breeze blowing around my left ear.

I was also praying but couldn't anymore concentrate because of the persistence of the sensation, and so, out of curiosity, I touched that side of my ear and behold, there was a feather sticking out there.

 I looked around me but couldn't understand how it came there,  but what l I knew was that a feather came out from the side of my ear.

I was so excited when it dawned on me that this was the thing that had been disturbing me, and that God had removed it. I went to one of the leaders, narrated my experience and requested to see our pastor.

 After the service, I met the pastor and told him what happened to me which is what I am sharing with you this day.

It is indeed a great miracle the God of Watchman has wrought in my life and I want to give Him all the glory and praise.

Since then, I have never experienced those problems again.

Broken Bone Pulled Out 16 Years After

Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise - Jeremiah 17:14.

PRAISE the Lord! Praise the Living God! I am John Miracle Chukwu from Ebute-Metta Parish (of the Watchman Catholic Charismatic Renewal Movement, Lagos).

I am here to testify of the great work the great God did in my life the day the Chief Servant of God visited our parish. The problem the Lord rolled away on that day had lasted for sixteen years. It was sometime in 1990 when I was still serving apprenticeship under my master.

 There was this night I had a bad dream. It was indeed an attack from the camp of the enemy and after it, I started having a problem on my right hand.

At a stage, it was swollen and I experienced severe pains right inside the bones. I visited several hospitals and tests were conducted and one of the tests showed that there was a broken bone.

 I was advised to go to the Orthopedic Hospital at Igbobi in Lagos here so the broken bone could be removed. I was not comfortable with the idea of removing the bone and, perhaps, replacing it with an artificial one so I discarded that advice and went to other hospitals looking for other forms of cure   that would not involve surgery.

Though I was taking the drugs they had prescribed for me, the problem still lingered. Prayers were made on my behalf and I believed God for my healing. So, it happened that when the Servant of God visited us, he prayed for us after we had responded to his invitation to come close to the altar.

He also prophesied that God was going to dismantle whatever was trying to dismantle our lives and we all believed God as he prayed fervently for us.

Later, during one of the fellowship days, our parish pastor also prayed that whatsoever was requiring operation in our bodies that the angel of the Lord was going to come to us to perform the surgery.

 Some days later, I noticed that something I couldn't readily figure out was shooting out from the spot I had the problem in my hand and I went into jubilations.

I discussed the development with some brethren and they suggested I go to the hospital so it could be removed by surgery but I said that I wanted God to be glorified completely by finishing what He had started.

Then, last Sunday evening, after I had returned home from a prayer meeting with some brethren and was pulling off my shirt, I noticed a contact with the shirt I was removing with something shooting out of my hand.

 As I looked at, I noticed that the thing had come out to a stage that all required was a little effort to get it out of my body. Then I held it, and carefully and gradually pulled it out, and behold, it was a piece of broken bone!

Brethren, you can imagine my joy and the relief this miracle has brought to me.

The pains I went through for sixteen years have now given way to joy and peace and now I can say praise the Lord for His wonderful works in the lives of men!"

God Ends Ten Years Of Delayed Conception

When the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream. Then was our mouth filed with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, the Lord hath done great things for them. The Lord hath done great things for us; and whereof we are glad -- Psalm 126:1-3

Hallelujah! I was formerly known and addressed as Dennis, but my names now are Marvellous Onyinyechukwu Nkeiruka Uzodinma Ndidiamaka Ndikanyiegbulam.

I am from Amukoko Parish of the Watchman Catholic Charismatic Renewal Movement in Lagos here. I am here to testify of the fulfillment of a promise God made to me ten years ago. The dream was realized three days ago.

It happened that God had promised to bless me with a male child in 1993 whose name would be called Emmanuel. In October 1994, my wife took in but the devil was not happy and therefore brought a temporary setback by the loss of my shop, money and everything on November 26 that year.

However, on June 14, 1995, Emmanuel was born, as God had said. Expectedly, we were hoping to have another baby after about two years but behold, that was not to be, though, the name, Ndidiamaka, had been ringing in my ears suggesting that I would have another baby boy.

I continued to wait for the promise to come to pass, and sometimes prophecies would come from various places assuring me that God would do it again.

My faith in God, during all those years never waned; I was rather strengthened, and believed that at the appropriate time, God, would visit us again. Now, I had a dream one of the days in January this year.

 I was at the Watchman Head Office and saw myself with the Servant of God, that is, our General Overseer, and Pastor Luke Duru, the Head Usher, Pastor Godfrey Chukwulobe and our Diocesan Pastor. I was sharing a testimony and the man of God was laughing happily   as he listened. I was also moved to laugh.

This had continued until I woke up suddenly to realize that it was a dream.   Then I said, Ah! This thing that made the Servant of God to laugh happily the way he did must be a sign of a good thing to come our way.

So, during my devotion that morning, I prayed to God, telling Him that whatever it was that gladdened the heart of His servant in such a way, and made him to express that kind of joy, that He should bring it to pass.

 Well, not long after this, specifically in February, my wife took in and the long and short of my testimony is that three days ago, our baby, Chukwuamaka, was born.

10 Years Ulcer Disappears

WHEN the Lord touched the life of Florence Onuoha from Ketu Parish of the Watchman Catholic Charismatic Renewal Movement Lagos Diocese, the ulcer that had troubled her for 10 years disappeared. It was during Mount Horeb 2003 at the Rock Chapel,  LOGISS Awo-Omamma, Imo State, that she received the visitation of the Lord upon her life. And with joy, she testified:

                “I want to testify of  the healing of the Lord upon my life,” she declared.  “It happened that for ten years now I have been suffering from ulcer.

Usually, I would experience severe pains in my chest and ribs and it would be so terrible that I would be rolling on the floor in my room.

Actually, I came here with milk and pap, because, this was what I usually took to reduce  the pain whenever the problem came up. Also I took my medications regularly.

                “So, on the first day of this programme, during the ministrations, we were told to lay our hands wherever it was ailing us, and I did as was directed.

Then, since  after the prayer that day, I have not taken any drug neither have I taken the milk and pap again. And to my greatest surprise, I have  not experienced any pains again. Praise the Lord.”

God Ends 13 Years Childlessness

GOD has His special way of rewarding anyone who sets out to seek Him;  He  always   welcomes such a one with His blessings. 

 This was the experience of Mrs. Carla Okonkwo, an American married  to a Nigerian. Carla was  taking a long journey every Sunday to worship in an American Church until she came to the Watchman Catholic Charismatic Renewal Movement, in Maryland, USA.

 And God was so gracious to her, and  healed her body, family, and marriage. After the annual  3-days waiting upon the Lord by  the Watchmen in Maryland for  those seeking the fruit of the womb in June 2003,  the Lord visited Carla  with a bouncing baby boy-David.

HIV Flushed Out

NO  cure has been found for the Human Immunodeficiency  Virus (HIV), the ravaging virus that gradually breaks down its victim’s immune system, and eventually leads to  full-blown AIDS.  And before this unrelenting virus, the whole world stands totally helpless. 

And because the search for cure has remained fruitless, many lives are being lost as a result of AIDS. But there is no need to despair!   God has the capacity to solve all problems that have defied  the ability and wisdom of men.  Indeed, God has been healing HIV/AIDS victims and other people with terminal diseases.

And  Charismatic Signs has published several verifiable testimonies of people cured of HIV/AIDS.  Today, we present the exciting testimony of Mrs. Chinyere Ezechukwu who now worships at the Watchman Fellowship Centre, Okoko, Lagos, who testified at the recent Joint Fellowship of the Wactman in Lagos.

                Mrs. Ezechukwu’s face beamed with joy and satisfaction as she told the ecstatic and jubilant multitude how God rescued her from the incurable disease. Her testimony:

    “It happened that my husband lost his first wife to a strange illness and two years later two of the children also died, and at the same time.  So we began to wonder what was wrong, because we had got married not long  after he lost his first wife. 

 Then after the loss of the children,  people began to say a lot of things,  but my husband and I continued believing God for His intervention.  Consequently we began to seek divine solution to this untimely deaths that had begun to occur  in the family.

That was when my parents took us to the Watchman Catholic Charismatic Renewal Movement.  Then the pastor counselled us to go for a test in order to ascertain what exactly the matter was.

    After the tests,  we discovered that it was HIV.  Consequently, we returned to the pastor who now prayed for us and told us that we should not be troubled that God was able to take away the illness. After the  counselling, he  organized a vigil and we were specially prayed for. 

Subsequently, we were told to go back for another test and to our greatest shock and happiness the test proved negative.  Praise the Lord!”

Four Years Ulcer Defeated

OSISI Andrew Anaelechukwu from Okoko Parish of the Watchman Catholic Charismatic Renewal Movement, Lagos Diocese, has every reason to be most thankful to  the almighty God.  Indeed the mercy and love of God  touched him recently, and a terrible affliction that has all these while plagued his life was rolled away. 

Before this great miracle came, so much money has gone into buying relevant medications and paying hospital charges, and purchase of drugs. But succour and relief remained quite beyond his grasp. But his  encounter with God as he joined the Watchman Catholic Charismatic Renewal Movement has changed the story of his life. Today, he has a great testimony in his mouth. He testified recently:

        “I am here to thank the Lord for the healing He granted  me. For four years now , I have  been suffering from ulcer. Despite all the medications prescribed at the different hospitals I had visited, which I took accordingly,  the problem still  persisted.

All these  years,  it had been a period of torment and pain. I used to carry my drugs with me anywhere I was going  because of the frequent pain and hotness I experienced in my stomach. However, after I joined the Watchman in June last year (2003), and prayers were made for me,  I received my healing. But, unfortunately, because I did not share the testimony of what happened to me at that time, the ailment returned.

                “So I came here still looking unto God for help and deliverance. And in the first day of this December Retreat, the Lord visited me. While he was ministering, the servant of God, the General Overseer, Pastor A. C.  Ohanebo, asked us to lay our hands on any part of our bodies where we had problems. And I did as he said.

Then, he prayed for us, and after that I stopped taking my drugs. From that day till now I have not experienced any pain again. And to crown the blessing, when our General Overseer ministered again yesterday,  he told us that the Lord was going to give us majestic injection,  and immediately I felt a sharp sensation in my stomach.

And I can confirm now that I am perfectly healed.”

Fibroid Defeated,17 Year-old Marriage Blessed

There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfil - Exodus 23:26.

After marriage, the next  natural expectation by any couple is the fruit of the womb, but in the case of  Chinyere Adimalazu and her husband  from Okoko Parish of the Watchman Catholic Charismatic Renewal Movement, Lagos, after a whole seventeen years, God surprised them with a special visitation and granted them their dream of cuddling their own baby.

A prolonged nightmare then ended in joy, laughter and songs of praise to the Almighty God. Not only that, the impediment created by fibroid over which doctors had raised tremendous fears and recommended urgent surgery was divinely defeated. And so, it was a happy Mrs. Adimalazu  that testified recently before multitudes of vibrant Watchmen and their visitors, drawing loud clapping, deafening cheers and songs praises from the happy and grateful congregation:

I want to testify about how God ended 17 years of fruitlessness in my life. I was married in December 1990, but little did I know that I would wait for seventeen years to have the fruit of the womb.

I visited several hospitals in my attempt to become pregnant, but I was always told that I had fibroid, and so how to get rid of it became the main issue. Later, arrangements were made in one of the hospitals for me to undergo an operation and I went to inform my pastor about it. But after he had prayed, he counseled that I should ignore the idea of surgery and wait for the Lord. I consented and left.

It happened that at the 2006 edition of the International Gospel Ministers' Conference of the Hour (IGMC),  little Miss Onyinye Nwakile, daughter of one of our sisters (Felicia Nwakile from Surulere District) surprised me when she pulled off her dress and handed it over to me and said: It is for your baby.

I took it from her after her mother had persuaded me to do so. Her action moved me to tears and I lost control of my emotions. Then I told the Lord in prayer that He should consider the action of this little girl and act appropriately to give me my heart's desire. In fact, I threw it to God as a challenge that He should give me the baby that would wear the dress.

After that, we had a programme in our parish tagged 'Anointing That Makes The Difference' during which our pastor prophesied that by December, I would embrace my own child.

However, I later went to the hospital again and the doctor repeated the issue of fibroid and gave me an appointment for an operation for February, saying that the fibroid had grown so large, and that without the operation, it would be impossible for me to take in.

I again went to my pastor to inform him, but he said I should just hold on and I obeyed. Again in March, I went to the hospital because of some unusual feelings I was having and after they had conducted some tests on me, they told me I was pregnant!

The doctors and the nurses were all excited and were calling each other to come and see what God had done. 'This woman is pregnant!' they said one to another, and stared at me in disbelief while they congratulated me and rejoiced because of what God had done for me. 

They suggested I should go and see their Chief Medical Director because what they were seeing could only happen miraculously.

They confessed that they did not know it all, but that God was the One that knew and had everything. In reply I said to them: Now, you believe God!

Brethren, today, I am a mother and you can see my baby. The prophecy has been fulfilled, and little Onyinye's wish for me has come to pass.

The God of Watchman has given me a baby. To crown it all, the God of Watchman has also granted my husband the salvation of his soul.

After Nine Years, A Baby Comes

Come and hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what He hath done for my soul - Psalm 66:16

They had wedded in 1998. In 2000, they joined the Watchman Catholic Charismatic Renewal Movement where they encountered God who through the mouth of the pastor at Watchman Fellowship Centre, Oshodi, Lagos, gave them clear promises that He would roll away their problem.  And so with absolute faith in the omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent God, John C. Ezeagu and his wife, Ifeyinwa Ezeagu, waited patiently on God to grant them their hearts' desire and bless them with the gift of the fruit of the womb.

 Now, their prayers have been answered, and recently they stood triumphantly before a large, lively, jubilant congregation of Watchmen and their visitors during a combined Sunday meeting at the Watchman Fellowship Centre, Aguda,  with their lovely baby, to share their testimony and tell everyone how good God had been towards them by removing the reproach of fruitlessness and putting songs of praises in their mouths. It was the new father that shared the testimony:

As He Shared The Testimony

OUR testimony is on the goodness of God towards us. The Lord has broken the yoke of childlessness in our marriage. We got married on October 17, 1998 and as should be expected, we looked forward to enjoying the blessings of marriage by having our own children. But after two years and there was no sign of what we were looking for, we began to search here and there for a solution.

.In the year 2000, we pitched our tent with the Watchman Catholic Charismatic Renewal Movement. Before this time, we had attended some other churches and gone to some hospitals seeking solution to our matter.

 Series of medical tests had been conducted, but despite all the money and efforts invested, the situation remained the same. However, in the course of ministrations one day, after we had joined the Watchman, the pastor, by the Spirit of God, suddenly began to ask: 'Who is Ifeyinwa?' Unfortunately, my wife was not in church that day and when I got home I asked her whether there were other people also answering Ifeyinwa in the church.

She said she did not know, because by that time, we were still new in the Watchman. Later on, a brother came to us and said that my wife was the one the pastor was referring to.

In 2002, a similar prophecy also came from our pastor, and this time, he addressed my wife directly: 'Ifeyinwa, God is saying that at the appointed time, He will visit you and you will become a point of contact o other women looking for the fruit of the womb," he announced to her, by the Spirit of God, in the course of ministrations  that day.

 After last year's (2006) December Retreat, we decided to visit home but my wife was reluctant to go with me; her reason was that there was no baby to carry home to our people. But I encouraged her to take heart, reminding her that those prophetic pronouncements made on us, and in respect of our circumstance were not for nothing.

 But brethren, it never crossed our minds that by the time I was saying this, she had already taken in! The Immirimious God that takes people unawares had already visited her, and in spite of the hazardous journey to the Eastern part of the country due to the bad roads, God kept the pregnancy, till we returned and continued to keep it until September 13, 2007, when she was delivered of the baby,  after a whole nine years of marriage!

Indeed, God demonstrated to us that day that He is not a man. He is the able God indeed. Today, it has become clear to everyone that knows us that we are serving a true God.

Before God visited us, each time we travelled home, my mother would call me to ask: John, my son, have you seen anything? My in-laws would also pose the same question to me, but my words of consolation to them had always been that God had told us that at the appropriate time He would visit us, and His words to us must come to pass.

Today, we are all living witnesses to the fulfillment of that promise of God. And just as it has been said that my wife would be a point of contact to others in the circumstance  she used to be, my prayer today is that that prophecy will be fulfilled in the lives and situations of all those looking for the fruit of the womb in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Crippling Waist And Leg Pains Sacked

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly - John 10: 10.

After the very striking testimony of Mrs. Comfort Azu of Olodi-Apapa Parish on behalf of her friend, Salome Nwachukwu,  who had been healed of very  severe waist and leg ailments that had seriously affected her ability to walk, during a recent well-thronged combined Sunday meeting at the Watchman Fellowship Centre, Aguda, Surulere, Lagos, the Moderator sought to know if the healed woman was in the congregation.

Then the woman stood up, and asserted that the ailment that had tormented her for a whole two years had indeed gone. Asked by the Moderator whether she could now stretch her legs and move about freely, she immediately kicked her legs, stretched her hands and shook her body vigorously to demonstrate that she was now hale and hearty.

 The display drew loud ovations and cheers from the crowd as many people raised shouts of praise to God who had done such an astounding  miracle. Read now the testimony as given by Comfort Azu.    

I want to testify of how God healed one of my friends. For almost two years, the devil afflicted her with severe waist and leg pains. She could neither move nor go anywhere. I visited her after the Watchman December Retreat, and she narrated to me how she had spent so much money on drugs and treatment in hospitals and had even visited some native doctors who performed some incision on her body but all to no avail. She showed me the various drugs she had been taking, yet the problem had refused to go.

For a long time now, I have been persuading her to come with me to fellowship but she had not been able. However, after she narrated her story to me, I told her that I would come and take her to our place of worship to see what God would do and she agreed to come.

On a Thursday, about three weeks ago, I went to her house and brought her to the fellowship centre on okada (commercial motorcycle) and she was prayed for by some deliverance ministers. I also brought her the following day for the Bible Study fellowship.

The following Sunday was another session of the Empowerment Programme, and I brought her here (Watchman Fellowship Centre, Aguda). During the ministration, our Daddy (the General Overseer, Pastor A.C. Ohanebo) made an altar call and she was one of those that filed out and were prayed for.

 I was also praying for her where I sat telling God that He must do something in her life to demonstrate how powerful the God of Watchman is. We went home after the programme that day full of assurance that she had received the touch of God.

The next Tuesday, I went to pick her as usual for Charismatic Hour fellowship, but instead of boarding an okada from her home, we had to trek some distance, before picking an okada for the rest of the journey, which was not the case before the prayer by the man of God.

 I want to say that since about two weeks now, she has been moving about, going here and there on her own without any aid or okada, visiting some family members, and because of the healing, the whole family has joined the Watchman. Praise the Lord!"
