Kidney Problem Rolled Away

“Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all”.Psalm 34:19.

PRAISE the Lord! My name is Chika Ekeh and I worship at Orile/Coker Parish of the Watchman Catholic Charismatic Renewal Movement, Lagos. I am here today to share the testimony of how God healed me of kidney problem.

On Tuesday, March 16, this year (2010), I began to vomit and it persisted till the next day.

By Thursday, I was rushed to a hospital and after some examinations, the doctor advised my husband to take me to Ikeja General Hospital. At Ikeja, they said that there was no vacant bed for me to lie on, so I was referred to Gbagada General Hospital.

After the doctors at Gbagada had examined me and conducted series of tests, they diagnosed that I had kidney malfunction. They took me to the renal ward after they had prescribed some drugs and drips for me. Further medical tests were still carried out.

One of the doctors recommended that I should be referred to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital since the dialysis machine they had was not functioning well. My husband broke down in tears and pleaded with them to see what they could do to help me.

Touched by my husband’s display of emotion, one of the doctors said he would take up my case and so listed some items for my husband to buy.

During the period I was on admission at the hospital, prayers were being offered on my behalf for God’s intervention. The prayer warriors from Orile/Coker Parish came to the hospital to offer prayers and encouraged me with the word of God. Other patients were not left out; they were also prayed for.

At about 11.00pm that day, I recited Psalm 23 seven times and prayed that God should see me through in the wilderness experience I had just commenced.

In my dream that night, I heard a group of people singing one of our popular choruses: I can see the finger of God, rewriting my story. I did not see them but I joined them in the song. At a point, I began to pray and I saw myself being carried in a helicopter and my head touched the cloud.

A force then turned me upside down and lifted me up again after a while. I was asked to look in front of me and as I did, I saw a brighter daylight. I was brought down and a cap was placed on my head after which they asked me to go.

As I made to go, a whirlwind came towards me and as I escaped from it, I woke up from sleep and found my heart panting. Some minutes later, I was pressed and had to use the toilet, but to my surprise, I could pass out urine without the tube.

The following Monday, the doctor came for a routine check and when he had examined me and found out that all the abnormalities had been corrected, he instructed that the drips be removed from my body.

I overheard the nurses congratulating my husband and by the grace of God, I was discharged from the hospital the following Wednesday.

Praise the Lord!”

Armed Robber Humbled By The God Of Watchman

No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord Isaiah 54: 17

MY brethren, my name is Sarah Madunagu from Aiyetoro Parish of the Watchman Catholic Charismatic Renewal Movement, Lagos. I want to testify to the glory of God how my family was delivered from the hand of an armed robber when we were coming to the Watchman Fellowship Centre, Aguda, Surulere, for the Empowerment Programme.

Usually whenever we had a meeting of this kind, we would take off from our home in Aiyetoro very early in order to get to the venue on time, and most of the time, we were usually among the first to arrive.

But today, I decided to cook for my little baby before setting out because he would always disturb me during the service wanting to buy one thing or the other. The cooking took much of our time and so we left the house some few minutes to 7.00am.

While we were coming, my husband complained that I was the cause of the delay and blamed me for occupying my mind with such things as the one that delayed us this morning.

When we got to Mile 2, we veered into the lane leading to Ijesha and somewhere along the road, we noticed that the vehicle was jerking. My husband managed to park the vehicle by the side of the road, opened the bonnet and rectified the fault.

Just as he was about to get into the car, a young man, armed with a gun, came around and ordered him to get back into the car or he would shoot him. After my husband had got into the car, he asked for the key, and I thought he was going to go away with the car.

Having collected the key, he ordered him to surrender all that he had on him and also turned to me that I should give him my handset. I told him I wasn’t having it with me (and that was true) so he ordered me to give him my handbag.

He advised that we sit quietly that if we made any funny move, he would shoot the children. He ransacked the handbag, took everything in it and returned it to me empty. He turned to my husband again and said oga, bring out everything that you have on you.

While it lasted, the mallam selling by the roadside, near where the car was packed, kept asking me whether there was any problem but I couldn’t say anything because of the gun he had pointed directly at my husband.

Not totally convinced that we were not having anything other than what he was able to collect from us, he began to search my husband. At that point, my husband dropped a tape recorder that was with him and when the man noticed it, he asked what that thing he dropped was.

My husband explained that it was a recorder he normally used to record the messages of the man of God, our General Overseer, that we are members of the Watchman and we were going to church. I chipped in and said, please Sir, we are Watchmen and immediately I said that the Immirimious God took over.

As if that was what he was waiting to hear, he said:  “Madam, take your money.”
During the encounter, I thought the end had come because we get to hear of similar incidents where the not so lucky ones were killed or maimed.

The man returned all that he took from us and regretted his action; blaming it on the bad economic situation which had pushed him to the wall. He asked us to go and my husband asked for the key which he threw at us after taking some steps backward.

I just want to thank God for this great deliverance, praise the Lord!

God Ends 13 Years Childlessness

When the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream. Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The Lord hath done great things for them. The Lord hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad ---Psalm 126:1-3

GOD has His special way of rewarding anyone who sets out to seek Him;  He  always   welcomes such a one with His blessings.
This was the experience of Mrs. Carla Okonkwo, an American married  to a Nigerian. Carla was  taking a long journey every Sunday to worship in an American Church until she came to the Watchman Catholic Charismatic Renewal Movement, in Maryland, USA.

And God was so gracious to her, and  healed her body, family, and marriage. After the annual  3-days waiting upon the Lord by  the Watchmen in Maryland for  those seeking the fruit of the womb in June 2003,  the Lord visited Carla  with a bouncing baby boy-David.

A Dead Child Revived In The Womb!

“Jesus said unto him, if thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth” ~ Mark 9:23.

MRS. Mbegbu had experienced prolonged labour, and all efforts at the hospital to make her be delivered of the baby had failed. After several attempts, the worst scenario emerged: the doctors discovered that the heart-beat of the expected baby had stopped, and there was no sign of any movement again.

The baby was clinically confirmed dead. The next option was announced, namely, surgery.

But Mrs. Mbegbu would have none of these. She was quite aware of what God was doing at the fellowship of the Watchman Catholic Charismatic Renewal Movement, Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, having been acquainted with the Movement.

Mr. and Mrs. Mbegbu Testifying In Abakaliki

She immediately asked her husband, Mr. Pathman Mbegbu,  to rush to No 7,
Watchman Street
, off
Mbieri Street
, New Layout, Abakaliki, to invite  the Watchman pastor to the hospital.

She believed strongly that once the Watchman pastor prayed for her, God would intervene, and everything that had gone bad in her case would be made right. In fact, she was determined to have the baby alive.

The Mbegbus were not members of the Watchman, but when Mr. Mbegbu arrived at the Watchman Fellowship Centre  and shared the story of what was happening to his wife, the Watchman Diocesan pastor in Abakaliki, Pastor James Onuoha, did not hesitate to follow him to the hospital.

When he arrived there, he was shocked when he heard that the baby had been dead in the womb for about three hours. Fully aware of what God can do in such a circumstance, the pastor stretched forth his hand and prayed over the woman, and instantaneously, the child leaped and became alive.
Later, the baby came out through a hitch-free normal delivery.

So happy was the couple that they returned to the Watchman Fellowship Centre, Abakaliki, to share the testimony of what God had done for them. Both baby and mother are strong and bouncing.

Praise the Lord.

Incessant Loss Of Children Halted

When the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream. Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The Lord hath done great things for them. The Lord hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.” – Psalms 126: 1-3.

During the power-packed crusade organized in early 2002 to mark the dedication of the “Restoration Ground”, the Watchman Fellowship Centre, Uli, Anambra State (Orlu Diocese), a woman who had come with sorrow and heaviness in her heart, stood still, at a distance, and listened attentively, as the Watchman Catholic Charismatic Renewal Movement General Overseer, Pastor A.C. Ohanebo, ministered the Word of God.

It was a very solemn moment as the living and eternal Word of God poured out from the man of God.  In the course of prayers, Pastor Ohanebo, by the Spirit of God declared: “There is a woman there, you have been having children and they have been dying; today, God has given you a child and that child won’t die!”

Mrs. Chinyere Onyeogaziri And Her Son

From where she was, Mrs. Chinyere Onyeogaziri, from Attah Parish of the Watchman in Orlu Diocese, received an instant persuasion that she was the one the Spirit of God was referring to. Before then, she had had a terrible time as a married woman.  Three of her babies had died in the womb, and the fourth one a day after delivery. But the divine proclamation at the programme ended her ordeal.

So, recently, at an open air Sunday fellowship in Orlu during the National Drama Crusade organized by the Watchman Drama Ministry, Mrs. Onyegaziri, full of gratitude to God, marched out with her five-year-old son, delivered after that prophetic statement, to share this testimony of the goodness of God in her life. Her testimony drew loud ovations and cheers from the crowd of Watchmen and their visitors who unanimously praised the Lord for His compassions and wonders in the midst of men. Her testimony:

BEFORE 2002, when the Restoration Ground at Uli was dedicated with a crusade, I have had four conceptions but all the babies had died. Three of the children had died in the womb, while the fourth died a day after he was born.

But at the Restoration Ground, the GS (General Superintendent), by the Holy Ghost, in the course of his ministration, picked my case, and declared that there was a woman there whose babies had been dying, that God has given her another child.

I immediately claimed it. After the crusade, I conceived and gave birth to this baby boy. He is five years old now.
Praise the Lord!”
